Parliament of the sami people (architecture)

The Parliament for Lapp representatives
includes visitor and press facilities,
a libarary and a restaurant.
The structure is a landmark in the
 surrounding widerness and is based
on the shape of the traditionalLapp tent.

A two-storey A two-storey semi-circular building looks southeast out onto an endless landscape, joined in the western section to a tall cone covered in rough timber strips, housing the chamber itself. The cone is dividedinto unequal halves by a wedge-shaped glass bridge, creating a skylight, illuminating the chamber during the summer months. prohibitive from the outside, the interior is arranged in an open, inviting way.
