Functional analogies: constructions lightness

Functional transfer of phenomena from nature to
architecture means predominantly the function of
load bearing.

Other functions such as protection, supply, storage, are
 considered less frequently, but
important in other fields of bionics.
The principle of light construction requires minimising material
and effort in construction
through structuring and design determined by the flow of forces
according to the laws of physics.
The integration of form, function and the process of creation in biological constructions is what architects
and engineers admire, and try to pursue.
Form and construction is a vast field, in research as well as in
application, and is usually ordered in construction types and systems.
